This September; get outside and explore!

From the beach to the forest and everywhere in between. Splash in puddles, look for bugs, build sandcastles, identify beach creatures, make mudpies and more! Colors, shapes, numbers and letters are just a few of the things we will find in nature.

Join us for some fun out of doors while we go on preschool adventures. Immerse your kids in nature with plenty of opportunities to get good and dirty while learning social skills, art, science, math, language and most importantly foster a love for learning, nature and creativity.

With the flexibility to thrive outside of workbooks and sitting still; we will learn about our world and each other.

We will reinforce a relationship with nature through touch and exploration.

Rain or shine play in the great outdoors is a model used in much of Europe and proven to be healthy for a child's development both mentally and physically.

ABOUT US

After hearing about outdoor preschools we were inspired to start something locally. With small classes, we have an emphasis on autonomy, problem-solving, and teamwork. We will learn numbers, shapes, letters and so on through immersion in nature. Exploring our world in a hands on environment to learn how it works, will be our priority.

We will learn about the changing seasons first-hand. Free play, exercise and creativity are encouraged. We will use our imaginations to help us understand our environment. We strive to foster a love of learning and nature simultaneously. This will be a unique preschool experience.

Growing up in Indianola myself and currently raising 3 girls here, I can tell you it's the best place to be a kid.

I have been an elementary school art docent, Girl Scout troop leader and provided childcare for the past 10+ years. With what feels like a shortage of preschools and the scramble to find a spot, let alone the right fit; we decided to start our own.

I love working with kids, with an emphasis on play and the outdoors.

Philosophy:

Outside is where kids thrive. There is no better place than your backyard. We are so lucky to live in a place where our backyards extend to the beach and surrounding woods.

With so much academic pressure in later years, preschool should focus on play and learning therein. And if we can encompass this play and learning outside? That is the best case scenario.

I am so excited to get outside and explore our neighborhood!
